Norwegian mass murderer Breivik denied permission to create fascist group

Sydney, May 11 (ANI): Norwegian mass killer Anders Behring Breivik has been refused permission to create a fascist group.

Norwegian authorities said that permission was not granted to Breivik due to missing paperwork and a lack of support.

Breivik was held for killing 77 people in twin attacks in 2011, and had placed an application to create an association, which he wanted to name 'The Norwegian fascist party and the Nordic league'.

According to Herald Sun, Mette Siri Broenmo, a spokeswoman for the body that registers such applications, told the Aftenposten daily that Breivik's bid fell short of the legal requirements.

She said that to be an association, you need to have two people or more, and in this case, there's only Breivik.

She added that Breivik even failed to attach the necessary statutes to the application.

Creating a political party in Norway is a more arduous process than founding an association, requiring 5,000 supporters to be officially recognised and benefit from public cash, the report added. (ANI)
