Los Angeles, April 17 (IANS) American singer Selena Gomez has announced her world tour plans that will take her to 56 cities.
The 20-year-old pop singer bounced back onto the music scene at the MTV Movie Awards with her new single "Come & Get It". Shortly after the Bollywood-themed performancea at the event, Selena announced she will be touring 56 cities later this year.
"It's going to be a bigger show. I'm excited. I've been dancing a lot and I just want to entertain people and I'm super stoked," she was quoted as saying by contactmusic.com.
Gomez's inspirations are Britney Spears and Janet Jackson, and she says she would focus more on dancing during her tour.
Gomez said: "I kind of miss shows when it just used to be about dancing and performing as opposed to how big and elaborate the stage is. So I kind of want to get back to that."
"My favourites were Britney and Janet Jackson. So I kind of want to do a little bit more dancing, and just make it about the entertainment and about the show and the songs, as opposed to how big the stage or how many effects we can have," she added.
The tour will kick start in Vancouver in Canada and would end in St Louis, US, with brief stops in Europe and North America.
