Washington, April 6 (Xinhua-ANI): UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon would visit the White House next week for talks with U.S. President Barack Obama over the situation on Korean Peninsula and other issues.
"On Thursday 11 April the secretary-general will call on President Barack Obama at the White House," Ban's spokesperson announced in a statement on Friday.
It said Ban will discuss with Obama "a broad range of pressing as well as longer-term global issues," but the situation on the Korean Peninsula is expected to be high on the agenda.
Ban told an audience in Monaco on Thursday that he was "deeply concerned and troubled by the rising tension on the Korean Peninsula." (Xinhua-ANI)
