Spain,Sports, Sat, 23 Mar 2013 IANS

Madrid, March 23 (IANS) World Champions Spain were held to a shock 1-1 draw by Finland in the football World Cup qualifying game in Gijon.

The Spanish enjoyed around 80 percent of the possession in the game Friday, but after Sergio Ramos had opened the scoring four minutes into the second half, they were stunned by a goal by Finnish striker Teemu Pukki, reports Xinhua.

The result leaves Spain second in their qualifying group, two points behind France who they play Tuesday night, meaning the Spanish now need to win in Paris to return to the top of their group.
