London, Mar 16 (ANI): Three persons, including a former BBC security guard, have been charged for travelling to Pakistan for undergoing training in Pakistan to commit acts of terrorism abroad, in a two year terror plot.
According to the charges against British Muslim convert Richard Dart, Imran Mahmood and Jahangir Alom, they had intended to go to Pakistan to a terrorist camp to be trained for acts of terrorism in the UK and abroad between July 2010 and July 2012, the Sun reports.
The charges further said that Mahmood, who had been to Pakistan before, was able to offer advice and assistance for their activities.
The trio had also allegedly provided information about travel to Pakistan, terrorism training and operational security, according to the charges.
Dart, who is said to have changed his name of Salahuddin al-Britani after his conversion to Islam, has also admitted to a possible attack on the English town of Wootton Bassett, through which repatriated British military heroes are driven.
The three men were arrested in July last year, the report added. (ANI)
