Islamabad, Mar. 8 (ANI): Pakistan has said it has repeatedly told New Delhi to provide ample evidence that could stand scrutiny in the court in the 2008 Mumbai attacks case, adding that "mere statements are not enough".
Foreign Office spokesman Moazzam Khan said Pakistan has even offered investigations under the mechanism available according to United Nations procedures, reports the Daily Times.
He said Pakistan wants resolution of all disputes with India through talks.
Khan further said that terrorism is a common threat and needs a common strategy to eliminate it from the region. He added that Pakistan condemns terrorism and extremism in all its forms and manifestations.
During the 2008 attacks, heavily armed gunmen stormed targets in Mumbai including luxury hotels, a Jewish centre, a hospital and a bustling train station, killing atleast 166 people.
Pakistan-born Ajmal Kasab, the lone survivor of the militant squad responsible for the attacks, was hanged amid great secrecy in Pune's Yerwada jail on November 21 last year, after Indian President Pranab Mukherjee rejected his appeal for mercy. (ANI)
