Iran promises swift solution to nuke dispute if its nuclear rights acknowledged

Sydney , Tue, 19 Feb 2013 ANI

Sydney, Feb. 19 (ANI): Iran has said there will be a swift solution to the nuclear dispute if its nuclear rights are acknowledged by a group of six world powers.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said that there would be a swift solution if the 5+1 group came up at the next nuclear meeting with goodwill and suitable and balanced initiatives, such as acknowledgment of Iran's nuclear rights.

He added that just as they are committed to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, they also want to maintain their rights according to the same treaty.

According to the Herald Sun, he said that any threats or pressures in the talks would definitely not work.

Iran has regularly denied accusations from the West that it has a nuclear weapons programme, and insisted its nuclear activities are for peaceful purposes.

According to the report, the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council and Germany will restart nuclear negotiations with Iran in Almaty, Kazakhstan, on February 26. (ANI)
