Lausanne, Jan 29 (IANS) Colombian 400-metre runner Diego Palomeque has been banned from competition for two years after testing positive for illegal substances before last year's London Olympics, the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) said Tuesday.
The 19-year-old was provisionally suspended after failing a drugs test July 26 and withdrew from taking part in the one-lap race days later.
