Islamabad, Dec 17 (IANS) At least five people were killed and 15 others injured Monday in a blast at a bus stand in Pakistan's northwest tribal region, state media reported.
The bombing occurred around 11 a.m. in Jamrud town of Khyber agency in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) along the Afghan border, Xinhua reported citing state-run TV channel PTV.
The bomb was planted on a vehicle parked at a bus stand in a market area.
Women and children were among those killed.
The injured were taken to hospitals in Peshawar, 20 km from Jamrud.
Many vehicles and shops were destroyed in the blast.
