Washington, Dec. 16 (ANI): The U.S. premiere of the Tom Cruise action movie 'Jack Reacher' has been postponed after the deadly Connecticut school shooting in which nearly 20 kids were killed.
Paramount Pictures said that 'out of honor and respect for the families of the victims' the premiere won't take place on Saturday in Pittsburgh, where 'Jack Reacher' was filmed.
According to the New York Daily News, the plot of 'Jack Reacher', an adaptation of the Lee Child's novel "One Shot," begins with an expert sniper shooting five people in Pittsburgh.
After police arrest a suspect, Cruise's character, retired Army officer Jack Reacher, investigates the shooting to verify that the accused man is, in fact, the killer.
The action film's plot revolves around Reacher's investigation of a shooting in Pittsburgh, where the film was made and the premiere was scheduled to take place Saturday, the report added. (ANI)
