Gun advocate on Connecticut shooting says 'armed teachers' could have minimized tragedy

Washington , Sun, 16 Dec 2012 ANI

Washington, Dec. 16 (ANI): Steve Dulan, a board member of the Michigan Coalition of Responsible Gun Owners who is supporting a state bill that would allow concealed weapons in schools and other gun-free zones, said that having 'armed teachers' inside Sandy Hook Elementary School would have 'if not prevented, then perhaps minimized' the tragedy.

"We do know that armed citizens defend themselves all the time, in all kinds of different contexts," the Huffington Post quoted Dulan, as saying.

Dulan's comments came in response to a mass shooting on Friday morning at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut.

Police reported 27 deaths, including 20 children, six adults and the shooter. (ANI)
