Los Angeles, Oct 21 (IANS) Actress Eva Longoria has requested her fans to update her about the growing cases of Meningitis in the US.
The 37-year-old was shocked after she learned that one of her friends was hospitalised after suffering from the disease and rushed to meet her Thursday, reports dailystar.co.uk.
The actress wrote on Twitter: "Guys I need your help, please send me any info on fungal meningitis breakout. I need the most updated info! Scary stuff. Thank you."
The US has recorded 20 deaths in the recent past because of the disease with cases in Florida, Idaho, Tennessee and Longoria's native Texas. There are 257 non-fatal cases.
