London, Oct 11 (IANS) Singer Gary Barlow, who is one of the judges on the British version of "The X Factor", plans to quit the singing reality show to join his band for a new album.
"The events of the last week have really confirmed in Gary's mind that he needs to get back to what he loves best. Gary is going to give this series his all and then it will be full steam ahead for (his band) Take That," thesun.co.uk quoted a source as saying.
Barlow, 41, got upset when his team member Carolynne Poole was voted out of the show.
Take That comprises of singers Robbie Williams, Mark Owen, Howard Donals, Jason Orange and Barlow. They plan to come up with the album by end of 2013.
"The lads are enjoying a bit of freedom at the moment, but they are all united in their desire to get Take That back on the road," the source said.
"A new album and tour have been discussed and all five of the boys are making really positive noises," the source added.
The band's last album was the 2010 release "Progress".
