Peshawar, Oct. 2 (ANI): A former Pakistani legislator and General Secretary of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Sami (JUI-S), Ikramullah Shahid, has announced a 200,000-dollar bounty for the maker of the anti-Islam film released on the video sharing website YouTube.
"We will award 200,000 dollars to anyone who kills the filmmaker," The Express Tribune quoted Shahid, as saying.
Shahid made the offer at a Difa-i-Pakistan Council (DPC) rally in Peshawar. The offer comes after Railways Minister Ghulam Ahmed Bilour earlier offer of 100,000-dollar bounty for the filmmaker behind the sacrilegious film.
Muslims across the world have held protests, both violent and peaceful, against the film demanding Google to block the video or pull it down from YouTube altogether.
At least 23 people had died during protests in Pakistan against the film.
YouTube has been blocked in Pakistan since almost three weeks because Google refused to block the video in Pakistan.
The film- Innocence of Muslims- made by an Israeli-American filmmaker portrays Prophet Muhammad as a womanizer, fraud and a child molester. (ANI)
