London, September 23 (ANI): A painting of Pippa Middleton's rear view sells quicker than a portrait of her front, according to Laetitia Guilbaud, the successful French artist.
Karl Lagerfeld said, unkindly, last month that Pippa Middleton should "only show her back", because she "struggles" with her looks so it would appear that art enthusiasts agree with the German fashion designer about which is the better side of the Duchess of Cambridge's sister.
Guilbaud failed to sell a portrait of Pippa when it went under the hammer at an auction last year.
However, when Guilbaud completed a second painting, a rear view, it fetched 1,700 pounds.
"Obviously, first time round Laetitia didn't fully realise that Pippa's best asset - and what has shaped her character in the public's mind - was her rear," the Telegraph quoted Marcus Macleod, of Braewell Galleries, in Edinburgh, as saying. (ANI)
