Islamabad, Sept. 22 (Xinhua-ANI): At least three people were killed and several others injured in a U.S. drone strike launched Saturday morning in Pakistan's northwest tribal area of North Waziristan, reported local media Ary.
According to the local media reports, U.S. drones fired two missiles at a vehicle suspected of carrying militants in the Datta Khel area of North Waiziristan, a stronghold of militants along the Pak-Afghan border, killing at three people and wounding two others.
The strike came at a time while the Pakistani foreign minister is paying a visit in the United States.
Saturday's U.S. drone strike is the 29th of its kind (counted on daily basis) in Pakistan since 2012. So far this year, a total of 213 people have reportedly been killed in such strikes. (Xinhua-ANI)
