New York, Sept 20 (ANI): U.S. State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland, has clarified that the closed-door signing ceremony between Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and her Mexican counterpart was explicitly 'not about a joint military operation against Canada.'
According to New York Daily News, Nuland was asked why a signing ceremony with Clinton and Mexico Foreign Minister Patricia Espinosa was not open to the press.
"This isn't some secret thing to invade Canada or something like that?" a reporter asked.
"No, no, no," Nuland said as the journalists laughed.
"It's not anything classified," she added.
According to the paper, this news should come as a relief to the Canadian military, and to fans of the animated show "South Park," who saw a U.S.-Canada war become a bloody quagmire in the movie "Bigger, Longer and Uncut." (ANI)
