Beijing, Aug 28 (IANS) A good samaritan who helped a man who suffered an epileptic attack even when onlookers told him not to do so has been tracked down by netizens who lauded his effort.

Jiang, 28, helped the 70-year-old man after he fell on the street.

A crowd gathered and some tried to dissuade him from intervening to avoid getting into trouble, the Shanghai Daily reported.

"He may blackmail you by claiming you pushed him down!" Jiang was told. He responded angrily, saying the man will die if they didn't act. "Where is your conscience?" he yelled back.

Jiang turned the man over gently to lessen the danger of suffocation and supported the man's head with his hands. He also checked if the man had any medicine for emergency use.

When an ambulance came, Jiang quietly left the spot.

"We will express gratitude for his good deeds," said the man's son Gao, asking witnesses to provide information.
