Karachi, Aug 15 (ANI): Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah, reiterating Pakistan's stance which categorically denies the reports of Hindu families migrating to India atrocities and forceful conversions in the country, has said it is a "mere propaganda".
"The Hindu community people have been visiting India for pilgrimage or meeting their relatives and are later returning back to home towns," the Daily Times quoted Shah, as saying.
"Sindh government has formed two committees and the third one by President Asif Zardari, who are probing the issue and are in touch with Hindu community in different cities and towns," he added.
Shah said the Hindu community has been given maximum facilities in the province.
"Sindh cabinet has three members from Hindu community. We have done legislation for their betterment and many more laws are being framed," he said.
Shah said that only three or four incidents of forceful conversion have occurred so far.
"The people belonging to Hindu community used to embrace Islam in the past too on their own. These girls have done it on their own will and the law of the land allows them to marry any one according to their own will," he said. (ANI)
