London, Aug 7 (IANS/RIA Novosti) Ukrainian weightlifter Oleksiy Torokhtiy outmuscled the competition to take the gold in a close men's 105 kg weightlifting final at the London Olympics.
Torokhtiy lifted a total of 412 kg to win by just one kg from Iran's Navab Nasirshelal, with the decisive kilogram coming in the snatch, where Torokhtiy managed 185 kg to Nasirshelal's 184 kg.
Third place and the bronze medal went to Bartolomej Bonk of Poland, who led at the break after lifting 190 kg in the snatch, but under-whelmed in the clean and jerk.
The final weightlifting medal event, the men's unlimited category, takes place Tuesday.
