Olympic swimming: Gagan goes out in heats

London, Aug 3 (IANS) India's lone swimmer at the Olympic Games Ullalmath Gagan failed to qualify for the finals of the 1500-metre freestyle event as he went out in the heats, finishing seventh and last in Heat 1, clocking six minutes 31.14 seconds here Friday.

The 20-year-old Indian was one minute and 5.23 seconds behind the heat winner Perez Vertti Ferrer Arturo of Mexico.
