Beijing, July 26 (IANS) There has been a rush to secure domain names with Sansha, China's new administrative hub for the South China Sea, a media report said Thursday.
China deployed a military garrison in Sansha on Yongxing island July 24 after declaring it an administrative base.
One investor has recently sold a Sansha domain name for 200 yuan ($31), the Haikou Evening News reported Thursday.
Some of the domain names are sansha.com, sansha.com.cn and sansha.cn. Organisations and individuals can purchase them through negotiations with the owners, the newspaper said.
