Shanghai mulls free Wi-Fi service

Beijing, July 25 (IANS) Shanghai residents will be able to enjoy free Wi-Fi service for two hours daily at public places by the end of this month.

The service will cover about 300 places, and the number is expected to reach 450 by the end of next year, the Shanghai Daily reported Wednesday.

The places will have "i-Shanghai" signs, authorities said. Users can apply to different telecom operators and they will not view advertisements after they log in.
