Abu Dhabi, July 25 (Xinhua-ANI): Syrian Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Abdul-Latif Al Dabbagh has defected, al- Jazeera TV reported Wednesday.
The news about Dabbagh's defection came shortly after his wife Lamia Hariri, also the Syrian envoy to Cyprus, reportedly defected, the TV said.
Hariri reportedly went to Qatar after her defection, while the whereabouts of Dabbagh is unknown now.
The Syrian foreign ministry has not yet confirmed the couple's defection. (Xinhua-ANI)
