Islamabad, July 21 (ANI): The restoration work of the Katas Raj temple site in the district of Chakwal has begun, ahead of Indian Prime Minster Manmohan Singh's expected visit to the city during his trip to Pakistan scheduled for August.
According to The News, a review meeting of restoration work was held at Environment Protection Department, Punjab, which was attended by senior officials of the Punjab Archeology Department, the Environment Department and district officials of Chakwal.
The Archeology director general informed the meeting that almost 80 per cent restoration work had been completed so far by the Archeology department, while the DCO Chakwal confirmed that desilting of the Katas Raj Pond was completed. (ANI)
