Geneva, July 21 (Xinhua-ANI): The World Health Organization (WHO) on Saturday reported a polio eradication worker being shot dead Friday evening in the Gadap town area of Karachi, Pakistan.

The victim was identified as Muhammad Ishaq, who had worked with the national polio eradication effort for several months, helping to plan and implement vaccination campaigns to protect local children against the disease.
