Washington, July 15 (ANI): Brewster, an address book app launched on Thursday, has exposed the contact information of actor Ashton Kutcher after it was hit by a bug.
According to Los Angeles Times, the embarrassing bug was discovered on Friday.
Brewster pulls information from users' various social sites, address books and G-mail accounts, with their permission, to compile an enhanced address book.he app did not just expose the contact details of Kutcher it also exposed the personal information of several entrepreneurs.
Among them were Dave Morin, path's co-founder, Tristan Walker, Foursquare's former director of business development, and Naveen Selvadurai, Foursquare's co-founder.
Some users said they were able to see the information of people they shouldn't have been able to.
Brewster founder Steve Greenwood said that he believes the problem has been resolved.
"There were bugs we had yesterday, this was one we took very seriously. We must have fixed it," Greenwood said. (ANI)
