China to conduct wildlife survey

Beijing, July 8 (IANS) China will conduct a wildlife survey on its islands in South China Sea.

The month-long survey will cover the entire ecosystem, Xinhua quoted the forestry administration of Hainan province as saying.

The survey will cover marine life, birds and amphibians. Researchers will prepare a database to help better protect the wildlife and habitats.
