Two policemen die in Mexico blast

Mexico City, July 4 (IANS) Two police officers were killed and seven others were injured in a car bomb attack in Mexico, authorities said.

The blast took place outside the home of a top security official in Tamaulipas state, Xinhua reported Tuesday. The two officers were assigned to protect Public Security Secretary Rafael Lomeli Martinez. The state has been plagued by drug-related violence.
