Victoria back with Spice Girls for musical launch

London, Jun 25 (IANS) Victoria Beckham is set to reunite with the Spice Girls to launch their stage musical "Viva Forever".

The 38-year-old will meet her former bandmates - Melanie Brown, Emma Bunton, Melanie Chisholm, and Geri Halliwell - here Tuesday, reports thesun.co.uk.

"There's been rumours knocking about that Victoria wasn't going to show - but she always made it a priority. She was never going to miss the launch and is looking forward to seeing the rest of the girls," said a source.

"The musical is a proud moment for them all. It will be emotional," the source added.

The Spice Girls were last seen in public in 2008 when they announced their reunion tour.

"Viva Forever", named after the band's song, is written by Jennifer Saunders and celebrates the girls' music. It is due to open here December.

The musical was the brainchild of co-writer Judy Craymer, who produced Abba musical "Mamma Mia!", and former Spice Girls manager Simon Fuller.

It follows the story of a mother and daughter, using a TV talent show as a backdrop, and is accompanied by the girl band's biggest hits.
