Washington, June 24 (ANI): U.S. President Barack Obama's new immigration policy could pay off in key swing states, according to a new poll.
According to the survey conducted by the groups Latino Decisions and America's Voice, almost 53 percent Hispanics in Florida preferred Obama for his new immigration policy, while Mitt Romney held a 37 percent preference.
According to New York Daily News, that advantage, which has grown in recent months, could give the incumbent a chance to win a state where he is widely being blamed for its economic woes.
According to the poll, Obama also opened up massive leads among Latinos in three southwestern states, Colorado, Nevada and Arizona.
Almost 59 percent people in Virginia preferred Obama for his policy, while only 28 percent preferred Romney.bama had announced that nearly 1 million upstanding young, illegal immigrants would not be thrown out of the country.
Obama also blasted Republicans in Congress for not passing the DREAM Act, which would have created a path to citizenship for the illegal immigrants. (ANI)
