Japan's wholesale prices fall

Tokyo, June 12 (IANS) Japan's wholesale prices went down 0.5 percent in May from a year earlier, falling for the second straight month, the Bank of Japan said Tuesday.

The index of corporate goods prices stood at 105.0 against the 2005 base of 100, the central bank said in a preliminary report.

On a month-on-month basis, the index fell 0.4 percent from April, reported Xinhua.
