Los Angeles, June 1 (IANS) Actor Christian Bale says he went out with Drew Barrymore when they were teenagers and got dumped by the actress after just one date.
"We went to see some bloody awful horror film, and that was the end of it. She never called again," GQ Magazine quoted the 31-year-old actor as saying.
The two had a lot in common. Both were child stars, both worked with Steven Spielberg, and both had trouble dealing with fame at an early age which brought them close.
As far as their current love life is concerned, Bale has been married to Sandra Blazic since 2000 and has a seven-year-old daughter, reports NY Post.com
Barrymore, 37, on the other hand, has been married twice, first to actor Jeremy Thomas and then to comedian Tom Green. Both marriages ended in quick divorces.
She is now expecting her first child and plans to marry her fiance, art consultant Will Kopelman, later this year.
