Cairo, June 1 (ANI): An Egyptian court has sentenced four policemen to three years in prison for torturing an inmate to death.
In a separate trial, three policemen were acquitted on charges of killing protesters during the uprising last year that overthrew President Hosni Mubarak, News 24 reports.
The cops have been sentenced a day after another policeman was jailed for five years for killing protesters during the revolt.
Mubarak, his interior minister Habib al-Adly and six security chiefs are on trial for their role in the hundreds of killings during the uprising.
Their verdict is expected on 2 June. (ANI)
