Karachi, May 30 (ANI): The Airport Security Force (ASF) of Pakistan has arrested an armed man off a Muscat bound flight at Karachi's Jinnah International Airport.
Police officials have said that a man identified as Iftikhar Ali, an aircraft engineer with the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), was on board flight PK 225, flying from Karachi to Muscat, Oman.
According to The Express Tribune, Ali was apprehended and a pistol with six bullets was recovered from his possession.
ASF officials have now handed Ali over to Airport Police, who are currently interrogating him regarding the weapon, and are expected to register a case against him.
Firearms and ammunition are prohibited on board commercial aircrafts, unless carried by authorised flight marshals. (ANI)
