St.John's (Antigua), May 30 (IANS/CMC) West Indies A team manager Colin Borde says his charges will be looking to dominate the touring India A side in the upcoming 'Test' and limited overs series which bowls off in Bridgetown this weekend.
Borde said it was important the side developed the habit of winning while also developing their skills as players.
'We want to win every game in every format of the game that we play. We also want to see growth in all aspects of the game, on and off the field from the future players,' said Borde.
'This opportunity is one that both the players and the technical staff can benefit and grow from. Winning is a habit.'
The first four-day 'Test' bowls off at Kensington Oval Saturday and will be followed by the matches at the Arnos Vale Cricket Ground in St.Vincent and the Beausejour Cricket Ground in St.Lucia later in the month.
Two Twenty20s have been scheduled for Queen's Park Oval in Trinidad on June 23 and 24 with the three one-dayers carded for Grenada's Queen's Park Stadium from June 27 to July 1.
Borde, a former Trinidad and Tobago team manager, said he believed the tour would provide the environment that would mould players fit to represent West Indies on the international stage.
'Not every player will excel at international level but with the current pathway to success being improved, we (technical staff) certainly are of the view that we can produce quality, intelligent, committed players to fly the West Indies flag,' Borde stressed.
West Indies A will assemble in Barbados Wednesday with India scheduled to arrive later in the the day.
