Indian firm to construct Sri Lanka's tallest building

Colombo, May 28 (IANS) An Indian company will construct a 68-storey residential tower in Colombo that is set to become the country's tallest building.

The 400-apartment condominium, to be built at a cost of $250 million and catering to expatriates and foreigners, is a venture of South City Projects (Kolkata) Ltd.

The land, which is currently under the defence and urban development ministries, will be given to the company on an extended lease, Xinhua reported.
