Kiev, May 28 (Xinhua-ANI): Two people were killed and twelve others injured in a road accident in eastern Ukraine, local authorities said Monday.
The accident occurred at 6:00 p.m. local time (1600GMT) Sunday when a passenger car collided with a microbus on a rural highway near the eastern city of Donetsk, the emergencies ministry said.
One person was killed at the scene, while another died in hospital after being rescued from the site.
The twelve injured, including 4 children, were receiving treatment in a nearby hospital.
Authorities have not yet disclosed the total number of passengers and the cause of the crash.
At least 1,500 people have been killed in over 9,000 road accidents in Ukraine this year. Drunk-driving, speeding and poor road conditions are usually blamed. (Xinhua-ANI)
