Chicago, May 21 (ANI): The North Atlantic Treaty Organisation's (NATO) chief has insisted that 'there would be no rush for the exits' as world leaders are negotiating an endgame for Western forces in Afghanistan
NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen said that the Afghanistan fighting coalition would remain whole despite France's plans to withdraw combat troops early.
"There will be no rush for the exits," News24 quoted Rasmussen, as saying on Sunday ahead of the NATO summit.
"Our goal, our strategy, our timetable remain unchanged," Rasmussen added.
Newly elected French President Francois Hollande has said he will withdraw all combat troops from Afghanistan by the year's end.
He has planned to withdraw French troops two years before the time line agreed to by nations in the US-led NATO coalition. (ANI)
