Islamabad, May 11 (ANI): Special Assistant to Pakistan Prime Minister on Political Affairs Fawad Chaudhry, has said the detailed order of the Supreme Court was "intended to disgrace Pakistan's political leadership and the language of the order, especially the note by Justice Asif Khosa, clearly reflects the mindset of judges".
Fawad said the British government had honoured Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani in an unprecedented manner that showed the Western governments and people "have lost respect for the politicised court orders and believe that the verdict against the prime minister is politicised".
"The verdict is full of legal loopholes and the prime minister has the right to challenge it at appropriate forum," the Daily Times quoted Fawad, as saying.
Fawad said politicisation of courts had disrupted the balance of democracy, which is why Western governments and people disapproved it. He claimed Gilani had received extraordinary attention from the British government and press. (ANI)
