Cairo, May 7 (Xinhua-ANI): Egypt's presidential candidate Amr Moussa, former Secretary General of the Arab League, topped Egyptians' selection list by 39 percent, state-run al-Ahram newspaper reported Monday.
According to a latest national poll conducted by the newspaper, Moussa was followed by Islamist candidate Abdel Monem Aboul Fotouh, who got 24 percent, and former Prime Minister Ahmed Shafik with 17. 2 percent.
Mohamed Morsi, candidate of the Freedom and Justice Party, the political arm of the Muslim Brotherhood, got seven percent.
The polls took the form of personal interviews on 1,200 people.
Egypt's presidential vote will be held on May 23 and 24. A total of 13 candidates will run in the elections. (Xinhua-ANI)
