London, Apr 26(ANI): Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has plans to protect his players from the hype ahead of the highly anticipated Manchester derby against Manchester City on Monday, which could possibly decide the fate of this year's Premier League title.

United have asked about hotels in South Wales for Friday and Saturday night before scheduling a return to Manchester on the eve of the derby.

The club has barred players from giving interviews before the derby game at Etihad Stadium, The Sun reports.

Ferguson took his squad to St Andrews golf course before their last Monday clash at the start of the month, which they won 2-0 at Blackburn to go clear at the top of the table.

Cardiff is a possibility, provided they can find proper training facilities

United have made enquiries about hotels in the Vale of Glamorgan for Friday and Saturday night. (ANI)
