China launches maritime survey fleet

Beijing, April 18 (IANS) China announced Wednesday the setting up of a national maritime survey fleet in order to conduct research.
The fleet consists of 19 survey vessels. The main task of the fleet is to undertake comprehensive maritime survey, the State Oceanic Administration (SOA), Xinhua reported.
