New York, Mar.9 (ANI): The former head of Israel's intelligence service, Mossad, believes Iran is currently pursuing a rational approach on its nuclear ambitions, and therefore, any thoughts on attacking that country, should be avoided for now.
Meir Dagan told CBS News: "The regime in Iran is a very rational one. It's a different kind of rational, not rational in the Western-thinking sense."
"But no doubt, they are considering all the implications of their actions...They will have to pay dearly...and I think the Iranians at this point in time are...very careful on the project. They are not running," said Dagan.
He also said that he doesn't advocate a pre-emptive Israeli military strike against Iran's nuclear industry anytime soon, and adds that an attack would have to be against "a large number of targets."
Ultimately, the Iranians cannot be allowed to get a nuclear weapon but an attack on their nuclear sites now would be a mistake, he says. (ANI)
