New Delhi, Feb.23 (ANI): China's southern province of Guangzhou has reported that medical malpractice has infected over 200 people with the Hepatitis C virus.
The patients infected with Hepatitis C hail from Zicheng town in Zijin county, the China Daily quoted health authorities, as saying.
According to the paper, the infected received injections at a clinic in the town, with suspected reused needles.
Experts are investigating the incident.
Hepatitis C is viral and is mainly transmitted through contact with contaminated blood. It can also spread through sexual contact and from mother to child during delivery. Infections can lead to liver cancer. (ANI)
