Sydney, Feb 15(ANI): Australian fast bowler Ryan Harris is fuming after being forcefully rested from Australia's next two one-day internationals including Sunday's clash against India on his home ground, The Gabba under Cricket Australia's (CA) bizarre rotation policy.
He dismissed reports that claimed that he had been rested due to injury. He made it clear that he was completely fit and not keen to rest.
"I'm not that keen on it at all. I've had enough rest in the past with some of my previous injury problems," News.com.au quoted Harris, as saying.
He said he is aware of CA's rotation policy, but resting was not good for his bowling.
"I have heard some media reports that I am injured but I want to make it clear that I'm not - I am fine. I can understand how selectors are trying to preserve fast bowlers but, for me, resting is not great," Harris said.
"Bowling is the best thing for me - a week off bowling can actually have a negative impact for me. I made it clear to them (CA) that I wanted to play," he added.
Harris has 2-128 in the three matches so far in the ODI series. Brett Lee and Ben Hilfenhaus will come into the Australian squad to try to impress while the selectors while Harris is given a rest. (ANI)
