Kuala Lumpur, Jan 13 (ANI): Thirteen Indian nationals working in Malaysia have sought refuge with a non-governmental group, claiming that their employer has been abusing them.
The men, who are working in an Indian restaurant in Subang Jaya, sought help from Alternative Action Team president B. Kalaivanar, the Malaysia Nanban reports.
Worker S. Thirusool, 32, said the men, most of whom were from Ramnad and Thiruchy districts in South India, had been forced to work 14-hour shifts without any rest day.
He also alleged that although his employer had deducted RM2 200 from their salaries to apply for work permits, he was not sure if their papers were valid.
Thirusool said each time they demanded for their salaries, the employer would beat them up. (ANI)
