Washington, Dec 27 (ANI): Two top officials from George W Bush's administration have said that the US President Barack Obama's administration is as tough as Bush, if not tougher, on its policies of war on terror.
"The new administration has been as aggressive, if not more aggressive, in pursing these issues because they're real," Politico quote former National Intelligence Director retired Vice Admiral Michael McConnell, as saying.
He further said that regardless of the political background and views, leaders should emphasise on these "real" threats and deal with them "in a very serious way."
Former Central Intelligence Agency Director Michael Hayden, a retired Air Force general, also argued that Obama's approach has been, by and large, the same as that of Bush administration.
"When one is in office, it's, as the admiral has suggested, when one is in office, that responsibility weighs pretty heavily. And so we've seen a powerful consistency between two administrations trying to deal with this problem," Actually, I've seen it over two administrations, and I thank god every day for the continuity," Hayden said.
