London, Dec 22 (ANI): British Prime Minister David Cameron and US President Barack Obama have reportedly agreed that both the countries are "on the same page" on Afghanistan in a telephonic conversation.
The half-hour call came days after Obama's review of Afghanistan and Pakistan last Thursday, which found that NATO-led forces were making progress against Taliban insurgents and restated the goal of handing over security to Afghan forces by 2014.
The Telegraph quoted a Downing Street spokesman as saying that during the conversation, Cameron welcomed the United States' review on Afghanistan and Pakistan. The Prime Minister spoke to President Obama by phone for half an hour this evening, and then welcomed the United States' review on Afghanistan and Pakistan. The leaders agreed that Britain and America were 'on the same page'," he added.
Beasides, the leaders also discussed about the Middle East peace process and agreed to continue to coordinate closely to sustain the process and deliver a two-state solution. (ANI)
