Kuala Lumpur, Dec 20 (ANI): Many Indian viewers in Malaysia are disappointed with Bernama TV for failing to air the one-hour daily Tamil news on Friday.
They felt cheated when a Malay programme was aired during the hour allocated for the Tamil news slot, reported Tamil Nesan.
Viewer K. Kannan lamented that the time allocated for Indian programmes was already very minimal and the non-airing of the Tamil news on that day had made Indian viewers more disappointed and angry, The Star reports.
"The television station should have at least announced the news slot had been cancelled so that we would not have had to wait in vain," he said.
Kannan said many Indians tuned in to Bernama TV Tamil news daily to keep abreast of the latest development in the country and the world besides for information about the Government's latest policies.
The community, he said, was happy when Bernama TV decided to lengthen the Tamil news slot from 30 minutes to one hour recently, but the incident on Friday had left them wondering if it would be totally scrapped. (ANI)
